Things we don’t like about iOS 14 and iPadOS 14

From the beginning I will make it clear that this is a personal opinion. I have been using iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 since the Beta and I have found things that I did not like. I’m going to tell you.

It is true that these new versions of the operating systems for iPhone and iPad, which we can all enjoy in the fall, are a true wonder. There is no discussion. Possibly this new iOS and iPadOS be one of the best updates it has released Manzana, in all its history. But I want to give it a turn of the page and I will tell you little things that I have not finished pleasing.

Things I don’t like about iOS 14:

Share option in notes in iOS 14:

Let’s start with one that, for me, is vital to share with you all the free apps for a limited time that we see daily and that we mention in our account Telegram.

In iOS 13 the share button is accessible from the note itself. As soon as I finish making it, click on share and send it to our Telegram channel.

By accessing the notes of the new iOS 14 we see that button disappear. To access it we must click on the three dots that appear at the top of the screen and, once the menu opens, click on the share option, which is now called “Send a copy”. For me it is a waste of time.

Multitask on iPadOS and iOS 14:

It is one of the functions that Manzana It should improve. Who uses it? It is much easier to go directly to the application you want to open, instead of searching tab by tab, the app you want to consult … right ?.

Anyway, it is necessary because multitasking is the only way to be able to close an application completely. That’s when what we don’t like comes. They have not implemented a button or option that allows us to delete them all at once.

It is shown that Closing multitasking apps does not improve performance or improve device autonomy, but there are many people who, like me, close all apps every night and it would be a great improvement to be able to do it in one fell swoop, just like you can close all tabs that open in Safari.

Battery consumption in iOS 14:

I know it’s a Beta and that these versions consume more battery than normal, it is true. But I have to say that I started using iOS 14 on an iPhone 7 where the battery consumption was very similar to what it had with iOS 13 And, with the passing of days, consumption has been skyrocketing and the day has not ended. In the middle of the afternoon, at about 19: 00h. I have to put the mobile to charge.

We hope that the final version of the new iOS be much better in terms of battery consumption. It sure will be like this.

Inability to move folders from the app library:

The novelty of the application library is one of the great improvements of iOS 14. We all agree on that, but I think they should allow you to move the app folders that are automatically created.

I have removed many apps from my Homescreen just to show the ones I use the most and when I go to open any of the ones I have in the app library, I go crazy looking for them. It would be much better to be able to order the folders as we want.

Multi-user on iPadOS 14:

It is one of the improvements that we thought would come with the new operating system for iPad and … has not arrived.

I think it is something essential in iPad, especially, in which several people share.

I expose you my “problem”. My son is 5 years old and I have trained him to use the iPad to 1:30 a.m. up to date. The moment I use the iPad For a while, I’m taking time away from enjoyment for him. That is why being able to manage users on the tablet would be a great improvement. My son would have his user configured for him, with its corresponding restrictions, and I would have mine configured and without any restrictions.

We hope that iOS 15 bring us this great improvement, expected by many.

Without more and waiting for you to add, if you use iOS 14 me iPadOS 14, your positive and negative opinions about these operating systems that will be released to the public in the fall.

Regards.
