SteelSeries unveiled a fleet of Cyberpunk 2077-inspired gaming headsets and a range of themed accessories designed for its wired and wireless Arctis Pro headsets. The first, however, is a helmet that is actually brand new in the corporate line. It’s the Arctis 1 Wireless for Xbox, and it follows a similar design and functionality to last year’s excellent Arctis 1 Wireless.
The big difference with this Xbox-specific model is that the USB-C dongle can switch between wireless modes to support Microsoft’s wireless protocol in addition to working with PC, Switch, and other platforms. Since neither the Xbox One nor its current controller has a USB-C port, it connects to the console via an included USB-A to USB-C cable, to which the dongle plugs. Once the Xbox Series X and its controller are launched, it will work with this console in the same way.
For now, only the Johnny Silverhand Edition (the character whose resemblance is that of Keanu Reeves) of the Arctis 1 Wireless for Xbox will be available. It costs $ 110, and limited quantities are sold through SteelSeries.com and Best buy starting today. A simple, unbranded version of the helmet will be available in the coming months.
The aforementioned non-Xbox version of the Arctis 1 Wireless, originally released last year, also gets a Cyberpunk 2077metamorphosis on the theme. The Netrunner Edition also costs $ 110 and is currently available on SteelSeries.com and GameStop. This model also comes with a USB-C dongle which makes wireless audio on the Nintendo Switch and mobile easier than most other alternatives, although it doesn’t work wirelessly on Xbox One consoles. An unbranded version is already available and costs a similar price.
Finally, for those who own one of the Arctis Pro headsets (wired or wireless) from SteelSeries, the company has released accessory packs that you can buy to give your helmet an appearance from the world of Cyberpunk 2077. Each pack costs $ 35 and includes a ski goggle and two magnetic earplugs that you can easily install yourself. They are now available on Steelseries.com.
Cyberpunk 2077 will not be released until September 2020 if the plans have not been affected by the pandemic. Either way, you have plenty of time to prepare your game setup with themed gear before it’s released.
