Journey, the company’s classic game that was released on PlayStation 3 in 2012, will be available on Steam on June 11. Journey was previously only available on PC via Epic Games Store, where it launched Last june.
In the game, you play as a hooded figure traveling to a high mountain on the horizon, navigating through a number of different landscapes and environments along the way. Sometimes you might find another wandering player near you. You can coordinate with this player to solve the puzzles of the game and explore his world together using your character’s screams in the game, forcing you and your partner to create your own language as you get closer to the mountain at far.
PolygonRuss Frushtick said in his review of the PS3 version Journey “Should be experienced by everyone”, and I agree. I’m glad to see it coming to another platform – especially since this game company said in December 2015 that the game would not come on Steam. The game joined Metro Exodus and Hells to hit Steam a year after its first launch exclusively on the Epic Games Store.
Journey also had a surprise iOS release last August.
