Is it possible to hack with a “.js” file?

I’m a freelancer who knows nothing about software security. I recently got connected to a client who wanted me to download, open a zip file, and do a demo voice over of the piece

The problem is when I opened the zip file, it contained a “test_sample.js” and when I opened it using a text editor it looked like this

When I asked the client about this, he then cancelled the request

I’m quite worried that this might be an attack seeing all those characters inside the javascript file. I’ve never known a local javascript in my entire life. Is this possible?

Edit:
Reported the account and found out it was already suspended and deactivated. Uknown if by the website or the account owner
