Both Nest Hub and Nest Hub Max give you a convenient screen to accompany Google Assistant access and controls. You can now watch Netflix on Nest Hub devices. This means that Google’s Nest Hub has a major advantage over Amazon’s Echo Show and the Facebook portal, especially if you want built-in support for Netflix and YouTube.
Netflix finally supported
Google announced On July 21, 2020, Netflix is finally supported by a smart screen. The Echo Show and the portal still do not have official Netflix support. Not only can you stream directly from your device, but you will also be able to stream Netflix to your TV.
While Google already gives users access to Hulu, Disney +, CBS All Access, Sling TV, Peacock, and more, the ability to watch Netflix on Nest Hub devices gives users the widest variety of choices. Plus, since the Nest Hub and Nest Hub Max are also smart speakers, you can control everything with your voice after you link your Netflix account.
If you have a Nest Hub Max, there is an additional feature: gesture control. Since the Max model has a camera, you can wave your hand in front of the camera to pause and resume playback.
Link your Netflix account
Before you start watching Netflix, you need to link your Netflix account to your Google Home account. All you need is the Google Home app to get started.
Open the Google Home app on your smartphone or tablet. Tap the Settings gear icon.

Tap Video.

Tap Netflix.

Tap “Link Account” and follow the instructions to log into Netflix and link your account in your browser of choice.

You can also use the Google Assistant app instead of Google Home. The process is similar. However, instead of tapping the Settings gear icon, you tap the menu in the top right corner.
Then tap on “Assistant Settings”.

Press the “Services” tab.

Choose “Videos and Photos”.

After that, proceed to link your Netflix account.
As a warning, this is all fairly new. I had to go through the process twice before it worked properly. Other users face similar difficulties. However, once everything is connected, you are good to go.
One thing that can help is choosing a default device. This only applies if you have multiple Google Home devices. In the Google Home app, tap the menu icon and select “Account & devices”. Choose your Nest Hub or Nest Hub Max device. Tap the Settings icon and select “Default TV” to use this device as the default for watching TV.
Watch Netflix on Nest Hub
Once everything is connected, you just have to say “Ok Google, open Netflix.“You can manually scroll through your options using the Nest Hub’s touchscreen. You can also say: “Ok Google, play the name of the TV show on Netflix, ”If you know the name of the show you want to play.

If you were already watching something on your smartphone, stream it directly to your Nest Hub to pick up where you left off. On your smartphone, open Netflix and the show you were watching. Tap the Cast button and choose your Nest Hub device.
Use Netflix beyond the Nest Hub
You’re not limited to watching Netflix on Nest Hub devices. Now that it’s supported by Google, you can stream Netflix to any Chromecast-enabled device, like many TVs. Remember that you can also watch Netflix on Raspberry Pi.
