How to put iPhone 12/11 / XS / XR / X / 8 in recovery mode

  1. These iPhones are without a home button and to set the recovery mode, you need to Side button and the Volume buttons. Hold both buttons until you see the “slide to turn off” on your device screen.
  2. Drag the slider and turn off your device.
  3. Press now and hold the Side button just and while holding down the button, connect your device to the computer using a Mac or Windows data cable.
    Continue to Side button until you see the recovery mode screen.

How to put iPhone 7/7 Plus or iPad Touch 7th gen in recovery mode

These iPhones have a home button and to set the recovery mode, you need to follow these steps.

  1. Turn off your device first, keep the Side button or the Top button and after a few seconds you will see the “Move to off” screen.
  2. Slide it to turn off the device.
  3. If your device is now turned off, press and hold Volume-Down and then connect it to your computer using a data cable, hold it in place Volume-down button until you see the recovery mode screen.

  1. First, turn off the device, hold the Top + Volume-up/down button until you see the slide to turn off the screen.
  2. Swipe the slider to turn off your iPad.
  3. Now get the data cable from your iPad and connect one end to the computer. After that Keep the Top button and connect your device to the computer, hold the Top button until you see the recovery mode screen.

How to exit recovery mode
