How to downgrade iOS 14 beta to iOS 13

  1. You need a Mac or PC to downgrade iOS or iPadOS. The latest iTunes is required for Windows or macOS users using a MacOS version older than Mojave.
  2. You can also download the iOS 13 IPSW files that you can recover with Finder on Mac or iTunes on Windows. (optional)
    Download the appropriate IPSW file for your iPhone
  3. Now connect your device to PC or PC.
  4. Open the Finder if you are using MacOS Big Sur, Catalina or Mojave. Older MacOS versions or Windows users on a computer need to use the latest iTunes.
  5. Put your device in recovery mode according to the appropriate method of your device:

  6. If your device successfully goes into recovery mode, the Finder or iTunes will detect your device in recovery mode and show you a message to repair or update.
  7. Restore iOS or iPadOS
    • Directly from the Apple server: You can simply click the Restore button to download and install iOS from Apple Server.
    • Use the IPSW file you downloaded: If you’re on a Mac, press and hold the option key from the keyboard. If you are on a computer, hold down the Shift key and then press the Restore button. This will require opening the IPSW file that you downloaded in step 1, selecting the file and opening it. Then confirm to delete and repair the iOS or iPadOS.
  8. Let Finder or iTunes complete the recovery process and wait for it. Once completed, you can restore an iCloud or PC backup or even set it up as a new device.
