With the arrival of Siri shortcuts, there are many options we have and the possibilities it gives us. But it is true, that it is something complicated or that it simply requires some time, to start investigating what you can do or what you cannot do with your iPhone.
That is why in APPerlas, We want to help you as much as possible to take advantage of this function and therefore, we always explain the odd trick for it.
How to disable mobile data automatically when connecting to your Wi-Fi
This trick is ideal both, as we have already mentioned, for those reduced rates, and to save battery life on our device.
Therefore, the first thing to do is go to the Siri shortcuts app. Once here, we go to the section of <>, and we are about to create a new one, so we click on <>.
In this new automation that we are going to create, we must select the option of <>, which is in the center section.
When doing so, it will ask us to select the network in which we want to create this process, so we click on the blue tab of <> that appears next to ‘Networks’. We search and select our home network, or the one we want, it can be the work network for example. Now we give <>.
We will go to a new screen, in which we already have to add the action we need, for this we click again on the blue tab that appears …
Below are all the actions that we have available, but to make it much faster and less tedious, in the search we write the word ‘Data’ and click on this.
We will see that the action already appears on the screen, but that by default it comes to us so that mobile data is activated, which is not what we want. Therefore, we click on the word <> and we will see how it changes by <>, which is what we really want.
A summary of the automation that we have created now appears and that’s it. Click on <> and we will have it activated and ready to be used whenever we connect to the Wi-Fi network that we have selected.
