How to Completely Hide the Pictures on iPhone or iPad

Before releasing iOS 14, if you want to hide the photos in the Photos app, just swipe it under the album name Hidden Albums. This way, the photos are only hidden from the main photos, but not actually hidden, you can easily see them from the Hidden Album.

In iOS 14 and iPadOS 14, they added an option to hide the hidden album in the Photos app. So everything you put in the hidden album will actually be hidden in the Photos app.

How to hide pictures

  1. Open the Photos app on your iPhone or iPad, tap the Photos tab at the bottom.
  2. To start selecting the photos you want to hide, see the top right corner of the screen and tap Select.
  3. Start by selecting the images you want to hide.
  4. Once you have selected it, tap the Share icon in the lower left corner of the screen.
  5. Move down a bit on the sub screen and tap on the Hide option. Then just confirm to hide the pictures from the library. You can successfully hide the photos in the library, but they can be viewed from the Hidden Album.

Follow these steps to hide the hidden album for the photos. You must have iOS, iPadOS 14, or later installed on your device.

I know that Hidden album is the album where I can immediately look for good stuff 🙂 instead of finding it in the big list of photos. Well, sometimes when you are showing photos to someone on your iPhone and there are few photos that you do not want to get in the way while sweeping. The hidden album is the folder in which you can place these photos.

This is how you can hide the photos and then hide the hidden album in the Photos app. Apple needs to add the option to put a password / touch ID on an album. There may be a few reasons why they did not allow it. But if you hide photos and then hide the hidden album, it may not reach your goal.
