Check Windows 10 using Intel or DCH graphics drivers

Windows DCH drivers for Intel Graphics have been available since November 28, 2018 according to Intel. Now you have to think about your Windows which uses Intel or DCH drivers ?.

Windows DCH drivers can be downloaded from the Download Center and the Intel Driver & Support Assistant.

DCH stands for Declarative Componentized Hardware. In short, Windows DCH Drivers are the driver package that will be installed and run on Universal Windows Platform (UWP) Windows 10 based editions.

  3. Right click on the listed Intel graphics controller and select Properties.
  4. Click on the Driver tab.
  5. Click on Driver Details.

  • For Intel (legacy) drivers, it must use the .inf files
  • For DCH pilots, it will contain “dch.inf“File names

The only big impact you might also notice is that a IntelĀ® Graphics Settings The option in the desktop context menu is no longer available when using Windows DCH graphics drivers.
