Apple will not force to update the iPhone to iOS 15

It seems that Manzana will not force us to update iOS 15 in order to continue having the latest security updates from our iPhone.

What’s new in iOS 15

iOS 14.5 brought quite an interesting novelty to our iPhone Y iPad. And it is that, contrary to what happened with previous versions of the operating system, Apple decided give some leeway to the issue of operating system updates.

Even before it came out ios Y iPadOS 14.5, to obtain the security and privacy improvements of the updates, it was necessary to update to the latest version of the operating system, with the possible consequence that our device was not compatible.

Apple advises that we can stay on iOS 14 with security updates

But that changed and Manzana allowed you to install the latest security updates without installing the latest version of operating systems. And, from the looks of it, that improvement is going to keep iOS 15.

This is clear from what has been discovered on the website of Manzana dedicated to iOS 15. In it you can read a text that indicates, broadly, that ios now it will offer two options for operating system updates in Settings.

Resetting Settings

The first one is to update the entire system, including security updates. And, the second, will be the option that allows us to install only the latest security updates available for our devices.

In addition they also indicate that we can update to iOS 15 as soon as it is available, but that we can stay on iOS 14 and install only the security updates and fully update to iOS 15 when we are ready.

Without a doubt, it is very positive that Apple maintains this option. And it would not be the first time that, when updating an OS completely, a device slows down or works badly. What do you think about it? Will you install iOS 15 or just security updates?
