If the application Search It was already useful, from now on it will be even more so. Apple announces that third-party products will be traceable.
Manzana just announced a new functionality for the native app Search, which will allow users to track third-party items.
The new products compatible with the service will be available next week: the wireless headphones SOUNDFORM Freedom True from Belkin, electric bicycles S3 and X3 from VanMoof and the article finder Chipolo ONE Spot.
All new products will be available to track via the new In-App Items tab Search. In order to make use of it, we must have iOS and iPadOS 14.3 and macOS Big Sur 11.1 or later to use the new function.
Track third-party products with the native Search app:
Bob borchers, vice president of worldwide product marketing for Manzana, comment the following:
“For more than a decade, our customers have trusted Find My, app Search, to locate your lost or stolen Apple devices, while protecting your privacy. We are now bringing the powerful search capabilities of Find My, one of our most popular services, to more people with the Find My network accessories program. We are delighted to see how Belkin, Chipolo, and VanMoof are using this technology and we can’t wait to see what other partners create. “
With tab Objects, you will be able to see the last known location of the item, even if you don’t connect to the internet thanks to wireless technology Bluetooth from other Apple devices. The process is end-to-end encrypted and anonymous.
Great news that we hope will join the launch of the expected AirTags and, also, which we hope will be joined by products from more manufacturers.
We hope you have been interested in the news and share it with all those who may be interested.
All the best.
